Combining fine early Norman architecture with tasteful Victorian restoration and Temple Moore decor, All Saints is a welcoming and prayerful church with lots to interest visitors. Set at the heart of this bustling market town its noteworthy features include a 20 foot dragon, a yoke from a liberated slave, numerous Thompson mice, fine misericords, massive Victorian wall paintings and a 10th century hogback tombstone. With chapels dedicated to St Aelred and St Colomba, All Saints is also a wonderfully atmospheric and spiritual place.
